Use on bike paths frequently
Looks and functions as advertised. Make sure to measure you handlebars before you buy. Will definitely be getting another one for my other bike. My only critique is that there’s more attack than sustain but I’m not really sure what would change that.
The sound and note is what I was after but unfortunately inconsistent in how it projects as sometimes the bell seems to ring and sometimes it’s muted, as if it’s caught in its mount.
I have been looking for a bell that looked good and sounded appropriate on the trail. I bought one for both Mountain bikes and so far I really like these, they do look good and the sound is appropriate for warning people on the trail. In my case I found that over tightening tends to dull the sound of the bell. Trying to ring the bell too many times (too quickly) will also nullify the sound of the bell.
I have the large bars on my bikes so I had to order the small bells and I have them placed in closer proximity to the grips/shifters. I originally wanted the bell to be closer to the stem but even the large would not fit around my bars (learned the hard way).
This bell looks so slick on my gravel bike, the minimal design fits seamlessly with the handlebars as though it was always meant to be there, and it is easy to reach when required.
The sound produced is unlike any other bell I've heard - warm, bright, and with gentle sustain. It is a pleasant sound in contrast to the shrill noise of the default bike bell, and it is easy to vary the intensity of the volume to match varying levels of urgency.
I honestly can't think of any negative points towards this product. I'm very happy with this purchase.
