I got the Blinder 1300 for my commute to make myself more visible to cars and it's done the trick. It will blast through any sort of window tint that could prevent a motorist from spotting you and light up any section of a path like you've got car headlights yourself. I use it in combination with the Knog Cobber Mini rear and front lights to give myself even better side visibility.
It’s bright, sleek, charges quickly with USB-C, lasts longer than my previous Bontrager Ion Elite 1000, has multiple modes for the proper light in any condition. Comes with TWO different options for mounting, which is a very nice touch. The only thing missing that would make this perfect is if it was ANT+. Being able to connect and control this light from my Edge would make this light perfect, but I’m still using it over the Nite Rider 1200 that I also picked up on the cheap. This is a great light and well worth the money.
Using the gopro adaptor mount made it easy to fix (and remove rapidly). The Blinder fits really well and tucked in under my Garmin mount and feels invisible when riding. The single button is big and easy to find with gloved fingers, the option to switch from day/night mode is easy (double tap) so you can cycle all day with no worries. Battery life is remarkable long as well. Which reminds me i should probably go charge it now, been quite a while.
Solid, well built and good light distribution while gravel riding at high speeds on low to moderately technical trails . Light did not last quite as long as advertised when on high (temp 6C) but not far off. Overall, very good value.
Great to use as a helmet light in conjunction with a main light source on the handlebars for MTB night riding. Replaced an older 500 lumen helmet light that wasn't cutting it. Was worried the Knog 1300 would be a bit too heavy but I didn't notice the extra weight once out on the trails. Medium setting was plenty bright. Would highly recommend the 1300 to anyone looking for a helmet light for use when riding techy trails at night (but you will need a stronger primary light source on the handle bars).
