Bilby Run 400 Headlamp

I am very happy with this. Have had problems in the past with other lights bouncing or being too tight, but this stays right where I want it and doesn't need to be too tight. Also very bright!!

I’ve used this for over a year now for everything from pitch black runs to hiking or camping. Having a big variety between the modes makes this an easily adaptable head torch that’s comfortable and durable. I brought this one for a Christmas present so mine would stop being stolen!

I love how cool and cute this lamp is, but it could definitely be better.
I took it out for its first night run, and as much as I wanted to love it, a few things didn’t work for me.

I was wearing a hat and, like most lights, the brim created a shadow and pushed the beam above my eye line. Most lights let you angle the beam, but this one stays fixed, so there was no way to adjust it. Throughout the run, it also felt like it kept dimming on its own,I had to keep pressing the button to bring the brightness back up.

It was super humid, so I eventually took my hat off, but the band material wasn’t grippy enough to stay put on my forehead. It kept sliding down, which was uncomfortable and required constant readjustment.

I love the color and the lightweight feel, but this lamp is probably better for casual use than for serious training or racing.

I have an earlier model that I have had for a few years. Just not quite enough light for racing flat out through the bush. The Bilby Run is perfect. So comfortable and the light shines where you need it without having to adjust it. Just running around poorly lit walking paths you can have it light dimmed and still have plenty of visibility. Tried others but this one beats them hands down.

This head torch is fantastic. I was using a light weight camping head torch for running but it would bounce all over when running and was very uncomfortable. The Billy run is very stable and has so many modes! Really like the halo feature. Couldn’t recommend this more! Only dislike is I wish I had gotten one sooner.

Really love the headlight, the elastic band makes it great for running while maintaining a tight fit, just feel like it fits too tight and gets kinda uncomfortable after wearing for a long time if you don’t want it to move

It’s 2024, please upgrade to usb c.

I picked this up for giggles, as I already have quite a few headlamps, flashers. and a running strap/sash with a lamp at chest level. The red flashing side lights were what interested me, but the first time I wore was the last time I used any of that other stuff.

The biggest surprise was how well the silicon strap held the big lamp stable against my bare forehead, hair, headband or hat, without feeling squeezed or ending up with red marks. And with the lamp not bouncing *at all*, I don't even notice the weight or bulkiness.

The flashing red lights are great for running on my neighborhood streets, which have no sidewalks or streetlamps. And the front lamp has a combination of spread and brightness settings that lets me trail run before dawn with no tripping- well, no MORE tripping over roots than I would do in full daylight.

I often go for runs at night and I needed a way to be visible, particularly to cyclists. The red halo is perfect for visibility and the different headlamp levels mean I can go running down trails at night too.

Very happy with the head light, easy to use, and has more uses than I first thought .
Makes for a great work light, reading light, and generally night vision requirements.

Have had this item for close to two years (bought from outdoor hiking store 400km from my home) used a dozen or so times but have had compounding issues with recharging, the USB connector not being tight in any type of port. literally slips out of some.
Due to not having receipts, website states nothing can be done…so…if buying from a stockist in store make sure you plug into a port to check that the fit is tight, otherwise its another $100+ down the tube and a massive disappointment.
Overall i loved the product but as per norm tech not living up to hyped standards.

This headtorch is brilliant -absolutely fantastic. And the customer service is top rate too - I contacted them to say that I had lost the little plastic toggle off the strap and they said they would send two out to me straight away, free of charge. Thank you Knog!!

I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the light settings but overall a great headlamp that adheres more to my head with limited movement. Not only do I use this for my night walks but great to work on my mountain bike in the garage at night or my car. The only thing I would update is the charging. Having to put the light fixture into a USB block seems outdated vs USB-C/micro USB and more prone to snapping. But overall highly recommended.

We gave our son, who is an avid runner, the Bilby Run 400 headlamp as a Christmas present. He thinks it is fantastic. I gives him real good vision on his his early morning runs and makes very obvious to oncoming traffic.

This is a product that really stands out. The whole concept is so much different from other headlamps on the market. The most intriguing feature is charging - no need for cables, just any USB port will do. Let's see how it holds up in the real world conditions.

I bought the run bilby for camping because the side illumination allows toy to be seen as well as see. Very bright and easy to recharge and use.

When my Bandicoot Headlamp broke, I initially switched to another brand (because I had it). I immediately realized that the bulkiness of other headlamps slipped down and made the light "bounce". Now with the Bilby, I was concerned with how large it was, but found that it attaches securely without issues. The beams are INCREDIBLY bright and have so many options, I would argue there are almost too many options.

While I'm primarily using this for night runs, I can't wait to use it for other situations.

The light does the basics of what i want but auto dims over use time requiring you to presd buttons to get brightness back and i am not even sure i am getting it onto the best setting i want anyway. Probably should watch some YouTube videos on maximising its potential. The instructions with it are really not great

My wife and I use the running headlamp for our morning runs. The biliby run headlamp is perfect fit for running, with or without a hat. Kong is awesome!

This is a really comfortable head band and the light is pretty bright. There is an ambient red light that can be useful if you need to be visible to cars and others from afar. The buttons are easy to click and the light charges on a USB connector quickly, which is great if you are like me and just decide to go for a jog after dark - and need a light.

My only wish is that the series of lights that go on and off were easier to segregate with the 2 buttons. Unless I take the headband off, sometimes I have no idea what combo of lights I have switched on. That is annoying, but not a terrible issue.

Again, the head strap is comfortable and the light works great - and this is the best solution I have found so far!

Comfortable to wear. Great light when your hands can't hold a light (like on a ladder. Low light is perfect for fishing season to not draw the bugs in.

Great lighting with plenty of options for different situations. Doesn’t budge whilst running and very comfortable on the forehead. Highly recommended.

I have owned many headlamps in my time for camping and home. many cheap ones and a couple of pricey ones. So my opinion comes from experience when I say that the Bilby 400 is the most compact, comfortable and brightest headlamp s that I’ve come across. It is also the most dynamic with its multiple brightness settings on spot, Flood, ambient, red and read modes. I particularly like the instant Max brightness option. So happy with it that I bought another for the wife ( she’s a runner)
