Decibels (dB) are used for measuring the relative loudness of sounds. Our bells and alarms are 80 & 85 dB respectively, which together with their tone, cuts through the noisiest of environments, while remaining below a harmful dB level.

Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).
Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be quickly located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Brilliant Product !!!
I fitted one to my new e-bike a year or two ago. It was so effective I bought one as a gift for a family member when he hit a big birthday.
The Scout Alarm & Finder work as advertised - also through the Scandinavian winter. After using AirTags and known the hazel of changing batteries frequently the “change once every 2 months or so…” is an overseen bonus. I like that the alarm is not that easy to dismantle or unscrew for the casual bike-thief passing by if you use the supplied “thief-proof” screws.
The FindMy integration is flawless, but a notification that the alarm had been set off would be nice, but I guess the AirTag or FindMy protocol does not support this. You only get alarms on your phone, if you are within bluetooth range of your bike. For me that means I can touch it :-)
If the Knog app had an Apple Watch companion that made the arm/disarm action possible with out taking out my phone and able to to without taking my gloves off (by nose as all my Apple Watch interaction is handle during wintertime) would make it a five star review.
Our tow e-MTBs were stolen from our carport overnight, even though thoroughly locked.
I looked up Find My Phone as soon as i discovered they were gone.
Called the police with the location, they were there in 20 minutes, returned the bikes to us in no time.
What a great device!

Not just any bike. My dream bike with all of the trimmings!!! Bike was stolen from a locked garage along with 3 other bikes. I had AirTags in three bikes and a Scout on the newest bike. Thieves ditched the wedge bags with AirTags but didn’t realize the other bike with the Scout. Police involved and I got 2 of my road bikes backs after it moved from a random garage to a pawn shop. I had serial number and photos when we arrived at the pawn shop but the best is when I paired the alarm as a third layer of proof. $60 investment saved me THOUSANDS!!!!!
