Thud, thud, ding

Love the look and feel of this bell BUT there is an issue for me.
It is mounted on my drop bar gravel bike so sometimes on chunky trails.
When flicking the hammer with my hand off the bar the result is not always a robust ding.
The hammer fails to strike the chime.
It does work as expected with a more deliberate press but in some scenarios there is just not enough time to do that.
Wondering if there is an adjustment that can be made or perhaps one of the other models would work better for my use case.
Otherwise it is a great looking bell with a substantial tone.

Slim, mimimal, with Big Sound (((( ! ))))

I’ve never been comfortable with traditional bike bells—too big, bulky, sounding weak. The Oi Prima from Knog (Canadian-Australian Commonwealth brothers and sisters) offer an incredible opportunity to upgrade my cycling kit without having to wallow in the depression caused by purchasing gear from fascist, racist, totalitarian junk-lords from the usa. Knog has it right—this bell, their bar-mounted lights (I now use the 1300 Blinder), and their helmet-mount lights (I also now use their Blinder X 2300 helmet kit)—ALL of these upgrades have thoroughly met my expectations! Commonwealth brothers and sisters: amazing products, incredible ingenuity, R&D, and providing tech which cyclists require (both on trail and urban) for staying safe! Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the EU—ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS partnership—ANTI FASCIST!

Like the low profile. Sounds great.

Stealthy, sometimes too stealthy

I like the low profile and understated design. Bell could be a bit louder and is even occasionally muted by the striker itself. Mostly avoidable with a little finesse. I can also confirm the striker will unintentionally hit the bell on rough terrain. Overall a very nice bell. Worth it for me for the aesthetics but might not be for you if you want something nice and loud for safety.

This is an absolute amazing bell it rings out really well and looks stealthy in the bike. I love its clean simple look. Very nice product! I a super happy with it!

Absolutely love Knog products! Bell sounds great and the discreet profile on the handlebar is a winner!

Decent, not perfect yet

Overall, I like the sleek design of the Oi Prima Bike Bell.

However, the sleek design comes with a few engineering/design limitations.

1. The fit for my new bike is extremely tight and couldn't be put exactly where I wanted it. The sizes on the site are exact, there is little room for accommodating a modern non-straight bar.

2. Engineering: There is a cutout for wires, unfortunately it is fixed to a location and can not be moved. So if your wires aren't in that exact location, it doesn't work.

3. Bell: super touchy, doesn't always ring well....especially if it is rubbing up on anything. However, it does work well if struck perfectly.

I would buy it again if the implementation design was a little more flexible

Expensive for what I have. The spacers did not work. I had to dig around my shop for a proper spacer. $40 including shipping. I don’t find good value for what I paid.

Very nice finished. It works as intended.

Cute idea with problems.

The stealthy design is excellent, however in practice the bell is too quiet as a legitimate warning device and I find it dings constantly when not riding on a perfectly smooth surface.

Oi Prima Bike Bell

I have it mounted close to the stem on drop handle bars. It very compact and has a good sound.

Perfect Dinger

If you hate clunky, this is the dinger for you. It's streamlined and great for alerting people on the trail or path that you're coming and need some space. Much better than shouting "on your left" and watching people jump in fright (although less comical). On one bike, I mounted it on the top tube near the handlebars. On another bike, I installed it on the stem.

My new Knog bell 🔔

I bought the large diameter Knog bell to fit my setup. It went on easy, unlike the earlier bell. Best part, it fits, has a nice tone and the color (bk) matches the setup perfectly. All around, I am pleased.

Wish they made a smaller size…

I love these bells but on a mountain bike the bar is narrower where you want the bell so it’s a thumb 👍🏻 flick.

Sleek and effective

Low profile and clean look. Decent volume and easy to mount. I Purchased 2- much easier to mount on MX bars… not as congruent on road drop bars.
