Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).

Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be quickly located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Great product Scout Bike Alarm & Finder

Just bought a new eMTB now have 3 of these devices all working as expected with great service from Knog

My intention for the Alarm is to be hidden, being not obvious. However, the YELLOW rain cover achieves the opposite. Whilst I understand that others may make it obvious, I would have preferred the option to choose between a yellow and a black, blue, red or green cover, so once installed on my bike it is not as visible. thank you

Hey Axel, we couldn't agree with you more! In fact, we recommend that the yellow cover be used for overt protection - really trying to get a would be thief's attention. However, for a more stealth approach, we recommend not using the cover and mounting Scout Bike under a water cage where it's hidden away and can barely be seen. This way you get the element of surprise if the alarm is on, or if it's not, the would be thief would likely not even notice the device. And you'd be able to find and recover your bike with the help of authorities. Even without the cover, Scout Bike has an IP66 water resistance rating, meaning it won't be affected by rain and adverse weather conditions.

Customer support is the worst. Be aware this company is based in Australia and will not provide a U.S. address for returns. Nor do they respond to email requests. Did not even open the product package and was forced to dispute the cc charge. Find an alternative product.

For improved security and recovery

Arming Scout Is Quick & Easy

Arming or disarming the Scout alarm can be achieved in two ways; via the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (< 1.5 m) or via the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range.

Mounting & Securing

For overt protection use the neon yellow silicone cover provided. For more discreet security, attach Scout to the bike via the bottle cage mounts using the supplied tamper-proof security screws without the cover.

Mounting With A Bottle Cage

Scout’s extremely low profile and compact design allows for it to be neatly bolted and hidden underneath a bottle cage. This is a great way to keep Scout hidden.

Dual Function LEDs

Scout feature’s dual function LEDs that show at a glance if the Scout is alarmed. The same LEDs display the charge status of the battery.
