Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).
Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be quickly located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Very troublesome to setup with devices disappearing from Knog app after being setup….2 have disappeared from the app while armed so not possible to deactivate….unbelievably flaky software which has absolutely no viability on bikes……worst purchase ever
Does exactly what it says, easy to set up and use.
I love this device. The find my capability combined with discrete mounting make it an ultimate peace of mind gadget.
We have a bike we share in our family. Two riders, two phones. This thing is great except that only one of us can arm or, importantly, disarm the Scout. It’s great when the person who paired the device is riding, but less useful than it could be. A second Scout mounted somewhere else is still cheaper than a new bike, so maybe we’ll just do that.
The push notification from the app is also a little silly since you have to be in Bluetooth range to get it. Would be more useful if it could notify when out of range somehow but that probably makes it a lot more expensive so 🤷
Minor gripes aside this is a solid product at an affordable price.
