The Knog Scout is a brilliant security system for my bike. However, I have a couple of suggestions for its iOS integration:
- An Apple Watch app, to more conveniently arm and disarm my bike without digging through my bag;
- Shortcuts app integration, to allow for Siri integration; &
- A widget or widgets that can go on the home screen or widget pane for, again, greater ease of arming & disarming.
Otherwise, this alarm has been an excellent addition to my bike and gives me greater confidence locking up in crowded locations.
App based platform and find my integration works well. The alarm could be louder but probably loud enough to work as a deterrent and I’d take it it’s current size rather than bigger for louder
My brother recommended to me, I love it and feel so safe
KNOG SCOUT I can’t get a drivers license do to head trauma in the USAF. Bicycles give me my independence. I don’t know when I got my first Knog light about 10 years ago. They are not cheap money/ quality wise they compare with other high in brands, and have never let me down. I ride in all weather conditions night and day. I am currently using the Knog Big Cobber for night and day visibility. I have tried several bike alarm’s before and they didn’t last in north Alabama weather. Based on the quality of your lights. I’m confident the SCOUT will last. I like it’s size and the way it mounts with the special screws. I ride daily. I have the new Hiplok D1000, Litelok X1 plus Kryptonite and Abus locks, and various other brands of lights. Knog is top of the line in my experience
very easy to install, easy configuration and full compatibility with find my app from apple ios
