Great products…
I got myself the Knog Blinder 1300 front light and when I saw that this mount was available, I bought it right away. I didn’t feel like fastening the light with the supplied rubber straps – with those types of mounts, the light often shifts a bit while riding in my experience, and if you’re already investing in a more expensive light, you just want everything to work perfectly.
The StVZO handlebar mount comes with an Allen key to bolt it securely to the bar, plus three pairs of rubber inserts in different thicknesses to cover a range of handlebar diameters. The inserts are shaped so they sit perfectly in the mount, with a small “bump” that locates in a matching recess – they basically snap into place and can’t twist, slip or fall out. A great little detail.
(In the photo you only see two pairs, as the third pair and the mount itself are already installed on my bike.)
The only thing you have to keep in mind: the light cannot be adjusted sideways in the mount, but that should actually be evident from the product photos.
Overall I’m completely satisfied with the StVZO handlebar mount: the light sits absolutely securely, and the mount itself stays in place without shifting even on rougher roads. For me it’s a much more hassle-free solution than the usual rubber bands. Highly recommended!
P.S. I do strongly agree though with the other reviewer that this mount should come included with the light, as everyone who buys the light will have a handle bar, but not everyone will have a GoPro.
Only had a few weeks, everything working fine.... Jut a bit confused as to why this needs to be purchased at additional cost and isn't just in the Box when you buy the light. The light combo Box has a GoPro attachment in it which is of course completely useless to anyone who doesn't have a GoPro... I would posit that everyone who buys this light has a handle bar, but no everyone has a GoPro... So stick the handle bar clamp in the Box and make the GoPro an optional accessory. It gets a 4 stars only because I had to buy it!
