I really like the size, ease of clipping them onto things, and battery life these nice little lights have. I have two small suggestions, but I still absolutely recommend these lights!
1. It would be nice to have a frosted lens to diffuse the led’s, instead of clear. I’ve gotten some complaints from people on the trails that the light is too blinding. I was annoyed by their complaint, but at the same time I understand where they’re coming from, because it’s not super fun to stare right into. I put a piece of masking tape over the light and it diffuses it well enough yet it still just as easy to see from a distance.
2. It would be nice if the button to turn the light on and off had some haptic feedback/clicking. When I’m trying to turn the light on/off or change the setting when it’s clipped to my back, I have to twist my head around to see when it’s on or off.
That’s all, other than those small things I love them so far!
My experience was limited with either cheap lights that didn’t last long (well, and I didn’t expect them to) or - very unfortunate - set of square lights from one of aftermarket brands of bicycle maker (they work, but I had to charge them after every ride) and I am supper happy now once I’ve stumbled on Knog’s ad with magic letters ‘asle’. Decided to try and this is what I was craving for - I don’t have to think about them at all. I ride with them attached on my pannier and I don’t have to worry about them that much: they are secure in this position and so far I had to take them off only once in two weeks (I commute by bicycle 5 days a week, 70-80 minutes a day, I use slow blinky-blinky mode). That is what I need: thing that just works and doesn’t require much of my attention. Thanks, Knog!
