Customers praise this helmet extension mount for effectively removing battery weight from the helmet, providing excellent brightness and versatility. "Best money I've ever spent" on cycling accessories. However, most reviewers note the cord is too short, needing 5-10cm more length to comfortably reach jersey pockets. Connection is durable but can be difficult to detach.

  • Probably the best money I've ever spent on a cycling product
  • Takes the weight of the battery off your helmet and neck, with all the versatility
  • It's a game changer, lighting what you're looking at unlike handlebar only mounted lights

Good but needs some revisions

Alright length but pretty stiff and a little fiddly to attach on the fly. Plenty durable and usable though.

Extension?

Absolutely awesome light for mountain biking however…. Like everyone else, I find the 65 coiled extension is not long enough. I have just ordered the longer one so hopefully that will do the job👍

Great add-on for my existing PWR Road

Purchased this on sale to use with my existing PWR Road for evening MTB rides. As noted in a number of reviews, the chord could be 5cm longer to allow it to sit easily in a jersey pocket. However, I found it to be OKAY (I'm 182cm) so it will be fine ofr me.
Probably the best money I've ever spent ($20) on a cycling product - given that I already had the PWR Road. Works really well, particularly if combined with a light on your handlebars. Great work Knog!

Could be perfect if it was a few inches longer

This just hangs inside one of my rear pocket on a jersey. The helmet mount is solid but the cord needs a few more inches to rest in the bottom of a jersey rear pocket.

Helmet extension works great compared to the coiled extension which isn’t long enough.

Functional but not perfect

The extension to allow the Kong light to be helmet mounted provides a firm connection and the uncoiled version is the right length but the cable it hard to detach from the light. This gives the firm and reliable connection but for my arthritic hands it is hard to get apart.

Love It, but the cord is a bit on the short side.

I haven't had the chance to use it, but it seems great. The advantage is the battery is no longer on your head (making your neck sore, or sloshing your helmet around) and can be carried in a pack. The curly cord could afford to be a little longer though because it only stretches easily to my upper shoulders region, and there aren't a lot of packs that have pockets that high.

Fantastic add-on. Takes the weight of the battery off your helmet and neck, with still all the versatility and brightness. Tge chord should be longer though.

PWR Helmet Extension Mount

Could reduce the battery weight on helmet or on bar mont effectively.
Maybe 10 more cm would be great in lenght.

Perfect for easy helmet mounted option for PWR lights

PWR Helmet Extension Mount

Great product! I’m not giving it five starts only because the wire is a bit too short to reach into a bike jersey pocket, which is a very natural place to put the battery pack. Maybe making couple of sizes of non-coiled wire would not be a bead idea , Thanks a lot! Filip

Blinding light..

Found this fits better in the all mountain style helmets, the more open style I found it a little wobbly. (But I’m sure helmets vary) that said once secure, light attached and you’re ready to go it’s great, unlike the bar light this is truly lighting what you’re looking at!! Depending where I’m riding I’ve used different pwr lights, from lighting things up to improve my view, to having the full mountain (night sun) on my head… and with the light moving and casting light into the path your going to be, it’s a game changer. Especially over handlebar only mounted lights, that only move when steering. It’s important to remember tho… talk to your cycling buddy, with 2000lumens into their face they tend to get upset… turn it off on road sections. Again car drivers tend to be unhappy when peek over at them..!! When you’re in very dark forests at night being able to attach an amazing light to your head, to see what you’re looking at…. It makes your whole world brighter and more colourful. For night rides now I wouldn’t be without it! Just duck further for over head branches. Other than that you don’t really notice the light once on, it’s not uncomfortable, and doesn’t cause your head, shoulders or neck week
