Solid running light

Good light spread and battery life. Plenty of light for unlit bitumen and gravel roads. Comfy and lightweight enough, good strap adjustment and the strap is a winner for sweaters.

Bandicoot Headlamp

For the many positive features, the main issue is the inability to adjust the angle of the light. If the silicone strap had different set angles, this could help with users preferences to then buy or order with a strap of a prefered angle.

Game changer for dark runs

I must admit, it’s a bit tricky to figure out how to turn it on at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it.

I feel so much more confident and safer during my 6am runs when it’s still dark, and even when walking my dog at 6pm. The light is really strong and highly recommend it.

Also regret not getting a second or third one because it would’ve been the perfect gift for my running mates.

Did not work out of the box

Ordered online for camping and night photography (due to red light). The charging indicator lights work, but once fully charged it will not work, have tried to unlock and reset, but clearly I need to return it, and I’ll be lucky if the replacement arrives before the trip. Disappointed, as charging lights work, but the headlight will not turn on.

Bandicoot Run 250 Headlamp

Very very good running light

After a couple of runs, I’m a big fan of of the Bandicoot light. It’s light (no pun intended), so light in fact I barely notice it after 1/2 mile or so. The beam pattern is excellent and works very well for city runs (I’ve not been on a trail yet). My only “complaint’ is that the on/off button is so small that at times it’s hard to access and articulate, especially with cold hands and/or gloves on. But it’s totally manageable and would not cause me any reservation to buy the Bandicoot.

This headlamp is the bees knees. The cats pajamas. For real this is my first running specific headlamp and for winter runs its blows the cheap one I had lying around and used before. Feel comfortable going out at night and knowing I’ll be able to have sure footing by lighting the way. KNOG 4 LYFE

Bandicoot headlamp

I’m super disappointed with this - the brightness of the light fades as you run (to preserve battery I think) which means that you have to keep on adjusting it and putting the brightness back up, which is not easy or convenient to do when you’re running. It requires a double click and that’s hard to get right while moving so I keep turning it off by mistake if I click too hard (turning off is one longer click)
I feel like this has been designed by someone who doesn’t run

A must-have during winter months.

I used to have to plan my runs around daylight hours, but since getting the Bandicoot Run Headlamp 250, I can run whenever I want without worrying about the dark. The light is fantastic for seeing the path ahead and making sure others can see me.
My two favourite features are the long battery life (also it’s super easy to charge) and the ‘halo mode’.
Definitely worth the purchase!
