Multiple Light Options

The 5 LEDs on the Bilby are optimally placed for their individual purposes – a high beam to see by, 2 elliptical beams for mid and wide beam angles, a red light for night light purposes and downlights for reading. Within each mode there are four brightness settings. On the brightest setting, the Bilby has a range of up to 100 metres.

Another outstanding feature of the Bilby is its ability to be customised via Knog’s own Modemaker app. This app allows users to increase Bilby’s modes from 6 up to 8, and choose which order they are operated, allowing users to create a headlamp that is customised to their specific own needs.

A final unique feature of the Bilby is its special ‘boost mode’ that allows a user to extract full power from 2 LEDs simultaneously. This really lights things up for a period of up to 10 mins.

Rechargeable with Integrated USB

Say goodbye to single use batteries. The outstanding feature of this design is the fact that the USB is integrated into the lighting pod – which means no cables to lose or break.

To recharge the headlamp, simply plug the pod into a USB-A port, and you’ll have a full charge in just 4 hours from flat.

Matte Silicone Finish

The Bilby’s body and strap are moulded in matte finish medical grade silicone that won’t tangle your hair. It’s easy to clean and is adjustable to fit head circumferences from 30 to 66cm. The extremely comfortable silicone strap adjusts with a toggle. Once you’ve found your size you can set and forget or adjust on the fly.

Unique Pod Chassis Design

Our new removable pod chassis design is packed with advanced optics allowing for various beam widths and elevations. Through the use of the 2-intuitive buttons, users can electronically raise and lower the light beam over a 20-degree arc which overcomes the need for the traditional mechanical adjustment ensuring the light points right where you need it when you need it.

The same removable pod is fitted with an innovative heat sink design, which helps prevents the headlamp overheating even when on full power over long periods of use. And remember, the Bilby is IP67 rated, meaning it’s waterproof to 1 metre as well as dust-proof. This headlamp is made tough.

Perfect endurance running light

This headlamp is the best one I found out there. Super long battery, life, great coverage of the trail, and super comfortable on my head— no squeeze! Besides that, it was easy to use with clear instructions. Would recommend this to anyone running trails at night.

Top headlamp

Give this a try. There is a learning process as to how to navigate the modes but the headlamp works flawlessly and is very comfortable to wear. Have been playing with Modemaker and added an 'all-on' flash pattern to complement the standard modes.

Comfortable heads up light

Improvement over the competition with regards to comfort and functionality still trying to get the hang of the controls to get the right lighting function. Hope it becomes more intuitive and time will tell. Would prefer the cable to plug in as I’m worried the all in one plug may break if your not careful charging it.

Bought Bilby 400 on sale. Very good price.
Used it for 3-4 runs. Can see well in pitch black conditions, no street lights anywhere, with boost mode. Good battery duration. During winter this light will be essential. Another great Knog light.

No complaint. Did a 24 hr plus run where the older lamp held its own a bit longer than new lamp. Overall very good.

I have used the Bilby twice, both times for a 10k run on mostly trails. So far so good. I only use the single spot which does the job. The functions are not simple and a USB-C charging port would be easier.

Im a sparkie and I use this head torch daily.
I use it at home too, painting, removing splinters finding stuff.

Comfortable and mitey

I was very surprised how comfortable it felt on my forehead. It's definitely the curve in the shape. I only start feeling it when I stop at traffic lights after running around 10kms, then I move it up my head a bit and it doesn't bother me again. The light is powerful and the various settings work really well in different settings.

Very well thought out product

Excellent physical design, comfortable to wear, stays cool and the buttons are just the right firmness. User interface is a little intimidating because it has so many features and modes, but I quickly figured out the button sequences for the things I need to adjust. I haven't used ModeMaker yet, but I love that I have the option to change the way the device works.

One thing I do not like is not being able to turn off the automatic dimming feature. The manual says it automatically dims as you use it to conserve battery. I don't know if thats happening to me, but it seems like just the opposite of what I'd want it to do. When I start using it my night vision is good and I don't need a max brightness, after I've been running and staring at a bright spot for a while, I need more brightness. Maybe it's not happening but that being in the manual makes me wonder if thats why I feel like I need to keep increasing the brightness.

Bilby 400 head lamp - worthy

I’m really happy with my purchase. I haven’t worked out all the modes, but the function I need for an early morning run works perfectly.
Doesn’t squeeze you into having a headache, but doesn’t flop around on your head while running. It’s a bit heavier than I was expecting, but it doesn’t matter, it is great.
Also found myself using it at the bbq whilst cooking dinner. Super handy!

Killed by head sweat

My last review isn't visible here, so here I go again. Great lamp, great idea... but ultimately, it was killed by head sweat. You cant claim water resistance if even sweat can destroy your product. Very disappointed and will be returning.
