Blinder 1300 Front Bike Light
Lumens are a measure of the total amount of visible light from a light source. The higher the lumen rating the “brighter” the light will appear. Lux is a similar method to measure light across a surface area that is often used in European markets.
Blinder 1300 is precise, powerful, long-lasting and the perfect choice for road and gravel cyclists who demand the very best performance from their equipment. Combining robust CNC construction, compact design, perfect beam angles, an incredible weight-to-power ratio and multiple mounting options, Blinder 1300 front bike light raises the bar by which front bike lights are measured.

I ride to and from work in the dark during the wet, cold Pacific Northwest winters. The Blinder has been consistent and up to the task. I use the lowest light setting most of the time. That's more than enough on lit urban/suburban streets to be seen and just enough to light the path in between streetlamps. Using that setting, I go about a week between charges (~4 hours).
The charging port plug is secure, keeping the electronic bits watertight. I like the rubber strap clamp that stays on the handlebars and the clip-in build of the light itself.
The bike mount could benefit from a more secure clasp-style design to prevent the light from coming loose. I lost the light during a daytime gravel ride despite believing it was properly secured. While I accept that user error may have played a role, it’s frustrating given the cost of the light. A more robust mounting mechanism would improve confidence and help prevent accidental loss.
Excellent light (5 stars), but the mount significantly lets it down (1 star).
The projector mount is convenient, but it is difficult to remove—especially for daily use. I’m concerned about the plastic part wearing out and how well it will hold up over time.
Adjusting the beam is fairly intuitive, but certain sequences are only accessible via a long press. I figured it out, but didn't see it mentioned anywhere; it would be very helpful to include this in the instructions.
Best Light ever
I use this light on training rides and swear it has saved my bacon multiple times. Drivers notice. Caught out finishing a long training ride in the dark it has made it possible to see not just the road but edges, cracks and other hard to see barriers. The weight is negligible and well worth the buffer it provides. Best in class if you ask me!
