Once armed, any movement of a Scout fitted Bike will trigger the motion-sensitive audio alarm discouraging any further movement and alerting the bike’s owner, both by the sound of the alarm and via a notification that is automatically sent to the owner’s iPhone (when in Bluetooth range).
Then in a scenario where a bike fitted with Scout is not where the owner has left it, it can be quickly located using Apple’s network via the ‘Find My’ app.

Fits easily under bottle cage, tracking works well, alarm is loud and works well (although I just leave the alarm feature off mostly).

Ik had eerst kritische review geschreven omdat mijn scout bike plots ermee op hield te functioneren en ik het niet meer naar fabrieksinstelling kon terugzetten.
Van alles geprobeerd volgens de opgezochte instructies maar niets hielp.
Aan het eind toen maar heel snel mijn beklag per email ingediend ... en warempel kreeg ik daar binnen een paar dagen een effectieve reactie op!
Het blijkt dat terugzetten naar fabrieksinstellingen heel nauwgezet moet worden gedaan.
Je moet echt 3 lange piepjes horen als aanduiding dat het echt gelukt is (vraag Knog naar een instructie video die ook kreeg).
Daarna was de scout bike weer heel makkelijk 'in de lucht' te brengen.

Got two of them. Battery last only a couple of days. Charging all the time.
I used the Knog Scout a few times and it worked as described.
After about six months, I could no longer get the Scout into 'Arm mode'.
The 'Find My' connection still worked.
I went through all the support guides (written, videos, etc.) and followed them carefully, reset it to factory settings, but after that, I was no longer able to connect it via Bluetooth in any way.
Very frustrating and a waste of my money!
